Study highlights the Dominga port for its high international standards in protecting the marine ecosystem

A comparative study conducted by the academic of the University of Valparaiso, and an expert consultant on environmental compliance, Pablo Gutierrez, highlighted the initiative “House of the Sea” of Dominga, with regards to its environmental and proactive commitments , such as the species monitoring system; monitoring and prevention of boat traffic impact; and a system of navigation speed control.  It indicates that “it is close to the best international practices observed, and it advances towards creating governance over impacted ecosystems; that it includes control measures, and that they work in a virtuous relationship with the state and the community.”
